POLYURETHANE CASTING
Placeteco manufactures numerous aerospace parts using polyurethane casting. We work with both rigid and flexible polyurethane foam. This process involves mixing and pouring liquid polyurethane into a mold, where it cures to form the desired shape, with non-cosmetic areas machined as to meet dimensional tolerances.

Liquid polyurethane is mixed and poured into molds. A pressurized pot is thereafter used to remove trapped air during curing. Metallic inserts can be molded in to enhance rigidity in accordance with drawing requirements.
