General Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead the development and execution of targeted sales strategies in an entrepreneurial environment. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will oversee all commercial activities, with a primary focus on two areas:

  • Expanding sales in the aerospace aftermarket
  • Developing new relationships with OEM and Tier 1 clients in the aerospace and defense sectors

This is a hands-on leadership role. As the sole member of the sales team, the Director of Sales must seamlessly balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement a focused, results-driven sales strategy for the two priority segments (Aftermarket and OEM/Tier 1), aligned with the company’s processes and product offerings
  • Identify, pursue, and cultivate new customers and business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering department to ensure the commercial offer reflects the company’s technical capabilities and competitive advantages
  • Prepare presentations, commercial proposals, and sales materials tailored to customer needs
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build visibility and expand the business network
  • Meet with potential clients, foster strong relationships, and ensure personalized follow-ups
  • Closely monitor opportunities, proposals, and sales cycles
  • Contribute to the company’s marketing initiatives, including website content, communication materials, etc.
  • Provide regular updates and results to the President
  • As a member of the management team, participate in weekly management meetings to share progress on business development results

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in the aerospace sector, or 5 years of aerospace engineering/technical experience with a strong interest to transition into a sales role
  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong desire to actively contribute to the company’s growth
  • Results-oriented and ownership mentality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel as required by the company
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken
  • Familiarity with aerospace product lifecycles, regulatory requirements, and key industry players (an asset)
  • Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies (an asset)
